I recently performed this experiment in the Solid States Lab during the II semester for M.Sc Physics course at University of Delhi.
We were supposed to study the material characteristics of a pn- junction diode, like (i) Reverse Saturation Current, Is and material constant, n
(ii) Energy Band Gap, Eg
(iii) Depletion Layer Capacitance, Cd .
